A new day!
I am starting to feel better, which is amazing! I do love to get to where I feel better about myself and life. I do have a long way to go before I reach my goal, though I am excited about just being able to want to do something about myself.

Loving the feel!
Three weeks ago I weighed in at weight watchers at 296.8, then I started Visalus and dropped 6 lbs, then I added this week the Page change and as of this morning I am 283.4.
I have just been eating protein this week, no carbs, no sugar and very, very little dariy if any. I feel great, I also feel so ready for a transformation!
if you are interested in Visalus you can check here.
There are several video's on the Body by Vi 90 day Challenge. Its awesome! The shakes are delicious, they are the cake mix of shakes...they are very good.

Whats new, whats changed, and what hasn't
I told you I would be blogging more. I thought I would have done a better job to now, but I just haven't felt like blogging about weight loss.
I did start Visalus for one week, I lost 6.2 lbs. I was easy to drink the shakes, they are delicious. I loved that I did not have to take all the supplements that I did on Herbalife, that felt like SUCCESS!!!
This week, I am trying something new to start my body off on the right track of burning fuel. Its called: "The Page Cycle Diet" You can check out there website here.
I am seriously about this, seriously about lifestyle change and serious about finding a way to help other people in my same situation. So, here I am starting DAY 1...its ONLY PROTEIN...I love meet and eggs so that's the easy part! I'm going to break the cycle!

The Winds of Change
Over the last few years I have tried to change all our eating habits and the types of food we keep in the house, not just for me, but my kids and my husband too. the couple of months, I feel so discouraged, I have been baking more "crap" which is really the good stuff for you since its far better than store bought stuff. But I have been baking more, and I have been eating anything I want to...which is ridiculous.

Two months ago I started on a weight loss program through Herbalife, I bought everything I could to help me two shakes a day, vitamins, appetite suppressants. I bought it all. I felt full for about an hour but then I'd still be hungry.
My son is a personal trainer and his wife is a nutritionist, so I have been working with them and trying to get my life back on track. His gym started selling Visalus so the other day I bought a 30 day supply and I'm going to start the 90 challenge with Visalus and my son Jon. I'm not sold on anything yet, but I have tried everything. I'm sick and tired of paying money for things that are not working for me. Personally, if I have to work that hard..its not a good fit, I need something that I can maintain and something that feels natural. Visalus is also shakes, its called the cake mix of shakes. I'll give it a try and see...if it works, I'll post about that. If not, I am going back to weight watchers, I am sick of weight watchers, but I know it works. I just need to lose some of the stress in my life so that I can focus on me again. The last few weeks have been incredibly hard for me between my husband stuff and my stuff going on.
Food to me is what alcohol is to an alcoholic, therefore, its not ok that I have to eat because that is where I find the difficulty. If I take away one thing out of my diet, I need to figure out what I am going to replace that with...I have to have a plan, which is why Herbalife did not work. I did not felt the support, and or have people that when I asked questions gave me real life answers. Don't tell me you know what my issues are when you've not walked in my shoes. It is more than just taking out all the junk out of my house, its more than just drinking two shakes. I have to know what to eat when I'm hungry.
Last night my daughter-in-law worked me up a meal plan and a workout plan...so I'm going to give this a try. I am supposed to receive everything on Tuesday sometime...so; I can't wait to get started!
Don't worry, I'll be blogging! Now that I do not have all my classes to keep up with, I'll be doing more blogging!

A whole new world
This last week was awesome, totally awesome!! I ended up losing 6.8 lbs on my new eating plan, which I might add totally rocks! I eat more, feel full and satisfied and I haven't had any cravings.
Today, at church they had the biggest Cinnimon rolls ever, and I walked away not even wanting one. This is a one day at a time thing, but I know that I'm going to make it this time, because I have all the tools I need to make me successful.
My daughter-in-law was here for two weeks and she and I cooked. She taught me different ways to do thing, that was so helpful. I know now that I will be able to suceed!
Loving life and my new attitude!

Whats this thing called diet? how about a lifestyle change?
For years, I have been going on about how I am going to make this a lifestyle change and not a diet. Once again I started weight watchers with my husband awhile ago. This time I went kicking and screaming (not really, I do love weight watchers meetings), I didn't I just felt that this was not the direction I wanted to go. I lost almost 10 lbs and then started not caring about my points plus values, so I gained 6 lbs.
I have been revamping my house. My sweet daughter-in-law Renee is here, she is going through my pantry and putting everything I can't have in a box (filled it right up). I decied to take her challenge and live dairy free, I started this slowly right after Christmas of last year (2011). We had got to the point where we were about 75% dairy free.
Today, I report that as of 4 days ago, I am dairy free. YEAH! I kept telling Renee, that I needed something to replace something she was taking away, that ended up not being so bad. My cabinets are mostly dairy free, I think I still have Jello Pudding and chocolate chips in the cabinet, therefore, I am going to need to replace those too.
So, as of Friday when I weighed in I weighed 287.00, and as of today Monday, May 7, 2012 I was down to 283.6.
I will post tips, ways to cut back and what to look for on lables. I've learned so much!

Going to climb that mountain; AGAIN!!!
Yesterday, my husband and I decided it was time to get serious and after little success on my own we decided to be held accountable for our issues with weight loss and weight gain. So, after much consideration, we decided to join weight watchers again. I had not wanted to spend money on a program, I had wanted to just learn to deal with this on my own, but I have not been successful and without any accountability I have just let weeks on ends pass with no weight loss.
So, I weighed in again yesterday which is my weigh-in Friday day. I was horrified to see what the scale said.
Week 1
Weight: 290.6
I had not gained everything back, but I was very close to it (7 lbs more and I would have tied). I am trying today to be good. Last night was a tough night we took some friends out to dinner and in the process we went to Texas Roadhouse, my favorite place to eat. I did my very best to figure out my points, overall I did not do as bad as I expected. Which was a huge surprise! GO ME!
My ultimate goal in weight is to get back down to 145-150. I would be extremely happy at that weight, if I lose more I wouldn't complain either, but I would at least like to get to that weight. I am going to try to get back to the gym this week to restart going to water aerobics, that should be fun, since I haven't been in months.
On the bright side, this is going to be a healthy change for us, and although I am wanting to do some things different, I will continue to go dairy free we use Coconut Milk, I personally love coconut milk, I use it in every recipe that requires milk and use it in cereal too.
